I did not include the announcers, update the team records, and all the Sunday Ticket channel numbers show as 0. I am currently on vacation and posting this from my phone. I promise next week will look better.

I'll finish it off later today.

[EDIT] Updated.

Just to help out a bit, for tonight's Bears/Packers game on NFL Network, the OTA simulcast stations are

WITI-Milwaukee
WGBA-Green Bay

Sound missing on NFL Network HD FIOS in Virginia.

homcom, I appreciate you taking time to make this thread every week, but you forgot to mention the NFL Network in your opening sentence.

I'm sorry but these guys on the NFL Network pregame show are unwatchable.

On FiOS VHO7 I have stereo audio for NFLN no DD 5.1
post #11 of 35
I'm getting 5.1 on Dish.

Audio on D* NFL Network was DD 5.1. Switched to Sirius Packers broadcast for audio now. smile.gif

I swear if they would move the score bug up 1 more inch it would be in the middle of the screen.

Agreed the score bar is to high.
Yep, It's like they set it up to go over their normal ticker even though they have kept the ticker off the screen during the game.
They need to fix the top bar on ESPN Monday Night Football and CBS Football. Way too high. Couldn't even read the lineups on ESPN.

What is up with main field goal cam? It looks like that angle is shot from the moon.

NFLN FiOS TV

Heavy motion artifacts on players and camera movement making the video appear grainy.
Another head scratcher - who knew that Kansas was such a hotbed of interest for TN vs. SD in the late CBS game?

I experienced the same thing on D*. Easily the poorest PQ of all of the games I've watched so far.

Where they have expanded Lambeau Field, the end zone camera has to be on top and it's way up there.

Isnt the reason that when they show the highlights during the other shows its above the scrollbar.

Hartford/New Haven CT doesn't get a Pats game for the first time in a while. Giants game conflicts, Giants win.

I hope that is just a temporary camera position until the Lambeau Field expansion is done and will revert to a more normal position.

Am I missing something? Not one comment on This Weeks games? Is there another thread somewhere or just lack of interest?

Too busy watching a bunch of good games to post. Almost every game went my way this week. smile.gif Although Arizona almost blew one of them.

Perhaps it is the fact that most of the networks now have their %*$^ together relative to PQ and few come here to complain.

I have to admit almost all of the NFL and College games that I have seen this year have been excellent.

FYI, for those people who don't subscribe to pay tv, tonight's OTA simulcast stations for the Broncos/Falcons Monday Night Football game are:

KTVD-Denver
WSB-Atlanta

Watching MNF: DEN/ATL on Time Warner Cable San Diego

Picture quality I would say is top notch and eyepoppingly clear. ESPN has really improved their picture quality comparedto 2-3 years ago. Everything from the main midlevel sideline cameras, main field camera, to the overhead cable camera, just top notch. Goes to show, 720p HD can be done just as well as 1080i HD when done correctly.

That's good to hear, I haven't started watching yet but I thought last week looked very good as well.

Not sure if you read the Hot Off The Press thread but I posted that the current issue of Rolling Stone has an article about the evolution of football on TV and it focuses on the crew that does the ESPN games, very interesting read.
