ESPN HD DEN @ ATL FiOS NYC.

PQ on ESPN is very good. No swimming grass, no motion artifacts and no macroblocking.

Now if only you could say the same about the action on the field. And the refs. My god, the refs...

I forgot to mention in my previous post that ESPN is also doing a great job framing this for the 16:9 HD/letterbox SD.presentation. I feel like I'm really close to the field. While I disagree the kind of scorebox used by ESPN, at least it isn't nearly in the middle of the screen like an NFL Network telecast. Now honestly if only RSPN would move the scorebox from the bottom of the screen to the very top, it would be perfsct IMHO

Back to normal. Terrible PQ on DirecTV. Lots of noise and swimming. The noise was so bad, it looked like the stadium was smoke-filled. Even my wife, who doesn't notice such things, commented on how the PQ looked. I don't understand why ESPN provides such lousy PQ for what they call their top event.

Something that I have noticed including in last nights game. The "sky cam" "wire cam" whatever it is called is brighter, more vibrant than the other cameras.

I have noticed this on CBS and FOX also.

Overall I thought the PQ was excellent for a dome game.
