Moved and need to redo home theater speakers

TV is now in the basement of the new house. Previously had in ceiling speakers that were great but wont work in the new space. I am sticking with my Onkyo TX-SR506 receiver with Yamaha NS-C225 center channel for now but need some floor standing speakers for fronts and then something I can hang from the ceiling corners for rears (bookshelves or satellites). Help me find something solid for under $500....

Forgot to mention I still have my TSC subwoofer from the last setup, so no need to add one. Not a huge fan of the look of those Pioneers to be honest, great pricing though

Well, the new series looks better to me (subjective) - however, they also have really
improved the sound >> and will hold up against some more popular and expensive
name brand speakers. I do like the sound.

The Pioneers do look better without the grills imo, love the reviews and pricing.

Those Polks should be perfect for the rears.

The reason i went with the Yamaha center was that is wasnt high at all, we only have about 6" to work with height wise for the center channel because it sits infront of the TV. The Polk center might work as it isnt to high. I'll put something on top of the yamaha and see how much extra room we can use

Polk Monitor50s for $160 or the Pioneers for $140? I think the Polk rears will work better for me

Reviving this thread. What do you think about these energy speakers? Would they pair ok with my onkyo receiver current center (Yamaha NS-C225) and the polk on wall for rear (http://www.amazon.com/Polk-Audio-On-Wall-Speaker-White/dp/B0018QNYXA/ref=pd_bxgy_e_text_y)

They look like a great deal and have nice reviews

I would still prefer the new Pioneer speakers - and I would mate them with a Pioneer center.

The pioneer center is to tall to be infront of my TV, so it just wont work. This yamaha center was the only non-soundbar one I could find that was short enough. Even the polk CS1 centers are to tall

I hadnt seen these before. i was also thinking of making a little box to raise the TV up a couple of inches as well, but not sure what would be best
