I'm not an admin here, but my guess is that PMs are limited until you've made a minimum number of public posts to the forum. I dunno what that number is, though. 5 maybe? Your current post count is only 3.

Correct, PM privileges are relative to forum participation. Once you've contributed more in the threads, you PM permissions will increase.

Well I'm glad I found this out.. (the hard way)

I feel the same way, I find most of my answers by reading. And sometime when I ask, people get angry and say " thats already been answered in this "quoted" forum". So instead of asking "already replied to" questions I search for the answers and typically find them. Makes it hard to post if you don't have the newest most up to date equip that noone has used yet..
