Would last years Samsung 3D glasses work on this years Panasonic Plasma?

I have two 3D glasses which I purchased for Samsung D490 last year. Wondering if they would work for this years Panasonic UT-50.

It says it uses the 2.4Ghz RF band to connect. Any idea? The manual says it will only work with the Samsung TV though, and the link here says works only with 2011 Samsung models.

No...only are compatible the new 2012 samsung 3D glasses with Panasonic.

Haven't bought the TV yet, maybe will take to a local store and give it a try.

Do the Panasonic TVs require pairing with glasses as well?

Sorry to necro an old thread but I have the 4100GB and the 3100GB glasses and they both work with my UT50. I highly recommend the 3100's for comfort. I got 4 on ebay for under $100 shipped.

Interesting, because a reviewer on amazon said his 3100gb glasses wouldn't pair with his 2012 Panasonic plasma

Can anyone else verify the 3100s work on 2012 Panasonic plasmas? I would rather have the 3100 than the 4100

I am by no means an expert, so take my comments with a grain of salt.

I recently purchased a VT50, and there seem to be no Panasonic 3D glasses anywhere near me, so I bought 2 pairs of the 4100GB.

I also have 2 pairs of the 3100GB that I got in a 3D starter kit. I only bought the kit for the shrek and megamind movies since the whole thing was $5 clearance at Sears. I did not have a 3D TV when I bought it, and forgot I owned them until I saw this thread.

I tested both sets of glasses and I can say, the 3100GB do work, but text appears wavy and the 3D effect does not POP off the screen. It is almost like watching 2.5D is the best way to explain it. Although the 4100GB are flimsy and uncomfortable, they definitely make the images POP and the text is crystal clear with no issues.

Keep in mind I am no expert, but that is my take after testing them both. If you have any questions or want me to run a different test(please keep in mind my limited knowledge) let me know and I will do my best.

That's a bummer. Unless I can find 3100 for super cheap, I'll just stick with the 4100.

Did you trying using 48 hz as the framerate instead of 60hz? Was there a difference?

Got my 3100GB, and I experienced the same thing with my ST50. In fact, I would say it was like watching 2D, no depth at all.
