The area I'm wanting to improve is the audio especially the voices during movies. I read several times of people stating the sound was much better. Was the increase in sound
quality due to the new sound modes or truly a noticeable difference in sound from your center channel? My other though was upgrading the speaker system and trying some
of the free in home offers from various companies. The 45020ci is the first receiver from Deon I truly like and seems like it should have a longevity with the feature set, unlike
my 4806 with so many hdmi changes. Appreciate any helpful you comments, thank you.
The intelligibility of center channel dialog is affected by many things, among them the quality of the center channel speaker, the placement of the speaker, the effects of the room, where the MLP is, and the quality of the calibration.
While the 4520 has the latest Audyssey technology, including Dialog Enhancer, there is no guarantee that this purchase alone will get you the best dialog intelligibility, although it would certainly be an improvement over the 4806. I would also make sure that the center channel speaker is placed properly--if it is on a shelf, make sure it is as far forward as possible, and angled towards your ears as you sit in the MLP.
