Yes, point well taken, Theresa. In fact I have strongly considered the 4311 alongside the 4520. HOWEVER, with the 4311 I would give up NEO:X processing, and it is a slightly older model than the 4520 and thus only available on the resale/refurb market AFAIK. On the plus side, the 4311 would fit perfectly in the compartment of my teak wall unit where I currently house my 3311, whereas I would need to have my cabinetmaker take apart the unit and raise the TV shelf about two inches in order to have sufficient breathing room for the taller 4520. (Or, alternatively, I could add a separate A/V cabinet for the AVR and external amps; but since it's a living room and WAF is a major consideration, I am loathe to add to the A/V clutter.)
Also of significant note is that I can currently find open-box 4520's from authorized retailers for about the same price or just slightly more than the 4311.
But perhaps there are some other pluses or minuses that I have missed? I always appreciate and have learned so much from the great feedback on this forum.
