Live video out for TM900?

I want a camera which can export the live video to an external recorder, preferably through HDMI output. We want to switch between the output of the camera and other sources (document camera).

Can the TM900 output live video streaming? And if so does it also zoom, and give the same output as would be recorded?

Yes, with some caveats. See this thread with excellent advice from Bill Sprague: http://www.avsforum.com/t/1363131/panasonic-hdc-tm900-hdmi-out-has-imprinted-auto-mnl-mode

Thanks, very helpful.

One more thing(!),
We need a camera with HD720 (1080x720) live streaming output, preferably on an HDMI output.
We want to feed into a mixer, and need to match resolution with our Elmo document camera and current projectors.

We find several good candidates (even in the $4-800 range), but they are all only HD1080 output, which would force a costly upgrade of other components feeding into the mixer. We found some Pro version cameras for the $2.8-3K range, but they have a lot of features that we don't need, and hope to not have to thus pay in this range.

Can the TM9090 stream in SD720 mode? I did not see it in the specs.

If not, any other suggestions for a camera to do this?

I'm away from the house right now - I will experiment with the HDMI out signal when I get home and let you know.

Cheers,

Bill
