I'm glad I got the Sunday Ticket for this year considering what games we have in Knoxville this week.

I don't understand why two 0-2 teams playing (KC-NO) is CBS' top game. I would think more people would rather see RGIII play (CIN-WAS). I know I sure would.

Falcons/Chargers blacked out in San Diego.

Most likely replaced with Eagles/Cardinals (which might be a better game than most would think).

Their top game is the Texans/Broncos late game.

KC-NO doesn't have significantly more coverage population-wise than the other early games.

"KC-NO doesn't have significantly more coverage population-wise than the other early games."

Their #1 game is the late game. It was selected to show to a majority of the country.

They don't have an overwhelming top choice at 1pm. They may have assigned their "B" team to KC/NO, but they aren't pushing the KC/NO to a majority of the population.

It doesnt matter if its by a significant margin or not its still the #1 game in that slot.

My horse won by "only" a head a few weeks ago....he was the only horse to get 1st place purse $$ from that race.

And again as i posted i think he is talking about their #1 game in the 1:00 window not their #1 game for the entire day.

edit:
See not only did i bold it like you did but i upped you by increasing the size. biggrin.gif

I hope Rich Eisen on the NFLN simulcast does his usual time warner zinger "to the folks watching us on channel 11 NY."

Those are always good.

Let me clarify, I was referring to KC-NO being the top game in the early timeslot. And the fact that Gumbel & Dierdorf are calling it shows it is the top CBS early game, and their #2 game overall.

I never wanted it to cause any serious arguing, I was just making a statement about my own beliefs on which early CBS game I see as most compelling.

It's understood, my point was simply that they had a lot of poor choices and had to pick one to lead. But they didn't follow that up with pushing that game to a large percentage of viewers.

dcowboy7 is just playing dumb. I think he's bitter about Seattle showing everybody that the Cowboys' 16 year run of mediocrity is still going strong. smile.gif

Watching NYG/CAR on Cablevision and WPIX OTA in NY. Interesting differences between the 2.

On Cablevision, PQ seems good, and sound seems to be 5.1 as I'm only hearing the announcers ( albeit horrible ones) in the center channel.

WPIX OTA however is a good 10-15 seconds ahead of NFLNet, so there must be a delay on Cablevisions end. PQ looks just as good, however even though my receiver is lighting up 5.1, I'm still hearing the announcers in the front surrounds.

Excellent PQ once again by NFLN.

I love the picture quality, but the audio is constantly ruined by Mayock who thinks he has to fill every second of every broadcast with chatter. He's really smart about the game, but that gets lost in his seemingly endless blathering about meaningless crap.

So now that Time Warner will be carrying NFL Network and Red Zone, what will you harp on them next for, for the next few thousand of your posts?
Why on earth is New Mexico getting NY Jets @ Miami? Not that it matters to me, I'll be watching TB @ DAL. Its just weird. CBS early this week is the worst slate of games I can recall seeing.

Nothing....a line from SW:Ep VI ROTJ that the emperor said to vader: "Your work here is finished my friend."

& you were always bugging them to add the LOGO tv channel.

Looks like its SF/MIN in almost all of California. Not that I'm a Chargers fan, but it sucks for those Californians who are.

DET vs. TEN looks good on WJBK via Comcast in Detroit. Of the games I have seen via Redzone the game from Chicago looks the worst.
I was watching the Bears game on Wfld via Uverse and it looked excellent so i'd imagine there was a problem with the feed that the redzone channel was getting of the game.

I agree with this - I was watching OTA on WFLD then flipping between NFL Redzone on Dish Network, and the quality on Redzone was significantly worst on the Red Zone channel.

WNBC-DT NYC FiOS

Getting the usual bad PQ on WNBC.

The main field cam has motion artifacts that appear as video grain noise when the camera pans.
There is macroblocking on medium to fast movement on the closeup shots.

The dark tinted area under and below the score bar is filled with motion artifacts.
Please NBC Sports remove the dark tint from the bottom of the screen.

The officiating is getting even worse, the 49ers getting 5 timeouts in the 2nd half? Players taking advantage of not being called for flagrant fouls resulting in players being injured and carted off the field? Not to mention how all of this influences the outcome of the game?

I hope the NFLPA just unloads on the NFL office this week. These cheap bastards are more concerned with Alex Smith wearing a SF Giants hat and RG3 covering up the Nike emblem than just ending this ridiculous referee strike. The NFL is the wealthiest professional sports league in the universe, it needs to start acting like a professionally run organization as well.

So does anyone think the FCC will fine NBC for airing a broadcast where the crowd is chanting "bullsh*t" repeatedly? Hilarious!
SNF Mixer, great job on the cow manure chants. They are so loud that even Al and Chris have to acknowledge them on the air.

I think this lockout will be settled this week. The fans and the players will revolt if these refs are around too much longer.

I got a chuckle out of that... the chants continued for quite some time, and you could tell Al and Chris were struggling to ignore them. They are, after all, commentators.
