Un-freaking-believable!

The replacement refs are ruining this game.

Since when is Green Bay 6000 miles from Seattle?

Jennings had that ball in the endzone clearly. The refs blew this one.

I'd be up in arms over this, but it happened to the Packers so I'm just laughing my ass off.

The picture was bright and clear. I could almost taste the Packer's players' tears.

ESPN is commemorating the Stones' 50th anniversary by licensing Stones tracks throughout the season.

it has gotten so bad that the nfl is going to have to give in the refs demands so that they can get them back on the field.

I dvr delay the game so maybe i missed some jumping but the songs i hear arent current.

For kicks this week what i will do is take notes of each song played & then have a totals count of recent/current billboard top 40 vs oldies.

The top 40 is on page 7 in the link from this weeks billboard chart:

Can we get some hits from the last 10 years at least..
IIRC- you're still not allowed to broadcast the "F" word on network TV- so that leaves out a lot of current um- "hits"....

It's about 10,000 miles by boat through the Panama Canal. Maybe they were averaging. wink.gif

Must have been! Either that, or the Packers have a new home in Moscow, Russia. biggrin.gif

Well that explains it perfectly, being an iPhone 4 owner myself who upgraded to iOS6 and wishes to hell he hadn't due to the loss of an accurate mapping program, I can feel for Gruden in making that mistake. biggrin.giftongue.gif

Wow, so those are the ‘songs’ on the latest Slop 40 charts? Glad I don’t listen to that crappy ‘music’. And I use the term ‘music’ very lightly when talking about todays noise. Burn It Down by Linkin Park is the only song I’ve ever heard on that list. Hell, the majority of the performers (these clowns are NOT artists) with ‘songs’ on the list I never even heard of. How are players and fans supposed to get pumped with that crap spewing over the stadium loud speakers? Where’s the Metallica and AC/DC? Here in Buffalo, at Sabres hockey games, the players actually get to pick most of the music featured on the area loudspeakers throughout the game and most of it is pretty good. The power play song is the intro from Coheed & Cambria’s Welcome Home. I’m sure that’s a much better song that some ‘song’ by Florida (naming a group after a state, how lame) or Neon Trees, whoever they are.

I’m 27, an you couldn’t pay me enough to listen to most of todays so called ‘music’. And being subjected to it at a sporting event should be qualified as cruel and unusual punishment.

and you call that crap you you are listening to "music" ? that's why they have the rolling stones on.

Eh, no they don't. Players make 1.9 million on average.

http://www.businessweek.com/magazine/content/11_06/b4214058615722.htm

Referees make on average 149,000.

http://www.recordnet.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20120830/A_SPORTS/208300328

Although this website: http://www.therichest.org/sports/nfl-referee/ says much less. Maybe only the head referees average 149k and the other officials less, I'm not sure.

Anyways its becoming pretty clear that they're worth every penny.

Might want to learn something before spouting nonsense. The average salaries of each aren't remotely close.

DOH! I stand Corrected. But they still make a heck of a lot more than most of us do, so I still have no sympathy forn them. mad.gif
post #82 of 87
Median NFL player salary: $770,000

Still much higher, but the median salary is more relevant than the average.

Wow, you sound a little bitter.

They do a much better job officiating than I ever could, so in my humble opinion, they ARE worth that much money.

They are worth whatever the market will bear, no more, no less.

Which I think is sort of what the owners were trying to prove with the lockout. Hoping that any idiot off the street (or off a Lingerie League field) could do the same thing for less. Fortunately they were proven wrong really really quickly.

Fined a mere $50K by the commish... http://www.nytimes.com/2012/09/27/sports/football/nfl-football-roundup
Was really hoping for a suspension cause that would bother him more than the $50K fine...
