This weekend I will be measuring the various combos I have managed to accumulate.
Comprised of: Horns/wave guides: 2384 , PT-H95, 2352 all are 90 x 50 (Zilch very much liked the last two)
CD's 2430, 2431, 2447 and finally 2450-SL
I will do 1M sweeps with OmniMic. I'll disconnect the LF section but will use the stock JBL 4622 network
and be well clear of boundaries. Changing the x-over is not an option right now, though I'm sure Max would help me.
Based on data published on LH, the 2450-SL should perform the best. Some preferred it over the vaunted 435 with the BE phragm. http://www.audioheritage.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?31657-Truextent-diaphragms-measurements
My next upgade will be to install the Truextent phragms in the 2450 CD's. Oh and John, you always ask what I think I'm missing with the standard 4622's. I don't know unless I tinker!
