Storing your 3D glasses, how do You do it?

Hi Gang
I am in the process of making a dedicated home theater room in my basement, I have an Optoma HD33 and 4 sets of 3D glasses with it. I was wondering how others store their glasses. I had a friend sit on a pair and break them and I definitely dont want that happening again. mad.gif
I was thinking about putting a shelf in my rack, like one of those 2U drawers from MA, and making a foam insert in it to store the glasses. Make a small template similar in shape to the profile of the glasses and cutting the foam out so the glasses slide in. Maybe running a USB cable from my HTPC in the rack directly to the drawer so I can charge them if needed. Has anybody else done something like this? If so, what kind of foam did you use? Anybody else have any other clever storage ideas for keeping their 3D glasses safe?

hope this will elp yo also you cand built one that can fit those 4 glasses that ou have i heva 2 vs 3d and 5 pairs and tis will work for me wood will be fine but painted:D

Thats a neat idea Edwin, but I think I am going to with a drawer for my rack with a foam insert in it so the glasses slip in.

For the time being, they are stored in their pouches on a shelf, as I don't have a dedicated HT room.... Yet.

I had another thought for glasses storage, as I have 12 pair (2 epson that came with my 6010 projector, and 10 pair of sony ps3 glasses, which work better anyway). I had originally ordered a sunglasses display/storage case, but the glasses did not fit in the slots... So much for that idea... But then I found a better solution. I had been thinking of storage where they could lay flat, and this was where my thinking was wrong. What if they were stored on end? What other storage options would that yield? This was my solution: A stemware storage case, for wine glasses. The cases typically hold 12, the are lined, and there are many, many models to choose from.

Those are really neat options for storing my glasses, but I think I am going to get a 1U or 2U drawer for my rack, get some of that gray foam, cut the foam in the shape of the glasses so they can slip into the foam in a laying flat position. That way I can just pull the drawer open, pluck the glasses out of the foam, watch a movie, and place them right back in the rack drawer.
