Should I upgrade? Check out the options....(Velodyne vs Energy Take 5 Classic)

There is a decent deal on woot.com for today, and it has me questioning whether I should upgrade or not. I am not so up to date on specs etc on speakers and that is why I wanted your opinion. From a spec standpoint should I upgrade or is this a lateral move at best? The Velodynes I have now sound just fine.....just don't want to miss a good deal:) Any thoughts would rock!

it might be a downgrade actually. The CHT's have larger 4.5" woofer and can play lower than the Take Classics which only have a 3" woofer with a frequency response of 115-20,000 Hz

I wouldn't make that move.

if you're looking for an upgrade in sound quality, get some larger bookshelf speakers.
