Hey guys, I've recently started my home theater brainstorming and I need to get some advice before I start buying away...
For background, I have a 14x18x8 room and looking at an Epson 8350 w/ a 5.1 surround system. My primary use is for movies and some sports.
While in college years ago, I had the brilliant idea of trying to start my home theater purchases... only to run out of money... duh. Of these various components, I would like to incorporate the Klipsch Synergy center (SC.5) and the rear surround speakers (SS.5).
My question is: Since they no longer make the front speakers in this set (SF.5), how do I go about matching the front speakers correctly? Do I want to match the 8 ohm impedence? Or should I just worry about staying with the same speaker technology (like the new Synergy models)?
Or is it worth trying to incorporate? Should I just start fresh? I wouldn't mind getting your receiver and sub input as well, if you dare (but this may be for a different forum).
I'm all ears on suggestions.
And while money isn't that big of a concern, I'd like to keep each speaker cost below $250 and the receiver below $400.
Thanks in advance!
