How long did your Mitsubishi HC1500 bulb last?

I'm getting close to the 3000 hour mark (on eco/low mode) on my first bulb in my Mitsubishi HC1500 projector and I started looking for the best place to buy the replacement bulb, however, I noticed a few comments that the Mitsubishi bulbs apparently last way beyond the recommended 3000 hour mark. So I'm wondering how long has your bulb lasted? Are there any major risks of going over the 3000 hour mark? Should I replace it at 3000 hours or wait till it actually burns out?

I have almost 3000 hours on my provantage OEM lamp in my HC3000 and don't plan on replacing it any time soon, but I have a tiny 2.8 Gain HP screen so light is not a problem. If your budget permits, I would suggest buying a new OEM lamp, then put your original in the box with the current number of hours marked on it. This way you have a backup and with a new lamp you will feel as if you got and upgrade with maybe as much as 50% brightness increase with the new lamp.

I have a Mitsubishi HD1000U so this may or may not apply directly, I have well over 5000 hours on my OEM bulb since I bought it in 2007. I may have lost some brightness (which is bound to happen), but it isn't obvious. Mix High / Low.

I have a mitsubishi hd 1000u with 2500 hours on high mode. It's lost alot of brightness but it's still ok

I also have the HD1000U, purchased in 2006 and I've lost track of how many times I've reset the bulb. I'm amazed by how long it has lasted.

Mine lasted about 10000 hours or almost 6 years.
It gave me a warning around 2500 so I reset the lamp counter.
It finally went out today....so I got to get one.

I have 3000+ hours on one of these OEM lamps and no sign of dimming. It has been very stable over the past 2500 hours, with calibration done every 500 hours or so.
