Upgrading from a Denon-3808CI to an Anthem MRX -500 worth the upgrade ?

Greetings,

i'm wondering if upgrading from a Denon-3808CI to an Anthem MRX -500 worth the upgrade ?

Do you think this is more like a 'lateral' move ?


I like my Denon but i would like to push my hometheater to an next level ! hehe


Power is not an issue since i have an emotiva XPA-3 to drive my front stage ( paradigm studio ).


I read that it seems 'ARC' doing a better job than my Audyssed XT.


I'm just don't wanna throw money out of the window if would only gain like a 10-15% of improvement in sound quality.


Maybe i should buy acoustical panel instead (less expensive and maybe more effective).


What do you think ?

The Anthem 500 is the best sounding receiver I have ever listened too. I tested out a bunch(Onkyo 709/Denon 33312CI/Marantz 6007) in my house with my speakers before choosing the Anthem. The ARC is way better than Audyssey XT in my opinion. Did more for my room with out drastically changing the sound of my speakers which is what I felt audyssey xt did. Plus is gives you a visual reference of the ARC calculations. Its a real nice unit and in my opinion the best sounding receiver you can buy regardless of price range.
