VUDU HDX now live on XBox 360

Just got this from the VUDU forums from a question I had asked:

I just noticed that when I go to that particular movie on my Xbox it now says watch in HDX not HD. My 360 did an update as I started the app this evening. Does the 360 now do HDX? My strength bar even had HDX. And while I'm on the subject. If I happen to make a HDX purchase will it still give me the HD or SD version depending on the device I'm using? Thanks.


You can now watch HDX on your Xbox 360. If you purchase HDX, you will be able to watch that version account wide. Keep in mind that PC/Mac is currently restricted to SD only.

Sadly, you cannot download HDX to the Xbox (or any other VUDU rez) and play it from a file like you can on PS3, WD Live Hub and possibly a couple of other platforms. That option lets people without network service bandwidth high enough to stream HDX buy and view titles at the highest quality VUDU has to offer. Not being one of those people I only care a little biggrin.gif.

I created a free Vudu account today and streamed The Avengers.

I used my Roku 2 XS, service is TWC basic.

I ran the Vudu speed test and it said I was at 10Mbps.

Got 3 HDX bars, not buffering.

Haven't tried it yet on my 360.

This is what i like to do also. I'm on the 6Mbps plan so when i stream i get the lowest HDX bar ,so i like to download the enitre movie onto my ps3 harddrive getting the HDX full bars.
