Need help with throw distance for Optoma HD33 - Am I stuck at 12'7" ?

Hello,

I am slightly confused on throw distance and what I can and cannot do as far as measurements. The projector placement calculators recommend a throw distance of 12'7"

Problem is I can't mount the projector right at that distance, I can mount at roughly 13'6" or around 11 feet. OR, I can go off center by about 1 foot.

My room measurements are 16x11' , with a ceiling height of 7'6"
Screen size is 106" fixed at the wall.

Also, the calculator says the center of the lens must be 8.3" above the top of the screen. I am using http://www.projectorcentral.com/Optoma-HD33-projection-calculator-pro.htm for the measurements.

So, is it possible for me to move the projector back slightly ? I don't have the projector mounted yet as I am waiting for some parts to arrive first.

Where it says 12-7" is the mid point of the throw range. For a 106" diagonal screen, the HD33 would need to be mounted between 11'-6" and 13'-10" from screen.

Thanks. The far end of that range will work fine. What about the 8.6" measurement from the top of the screen. Can I go lower than that ? What is optimal ?

Looks like within that throw range, and the limited zoom, you can place it, 7.6in to 9.1in above the screen.
