Hi Everybody,

I recently introduced my niece to the joys of listening to Full range music ith aA V System vs earbuds..
Well turned out she was really impressed and wanted a real system..

Well so happened I had and old 5.1 AV Reciever and CD Player that I gave to her. Well I did NOT have any speakers so I used some Rear speakers from an old set.

Well, I now would like to get her a real set of Bookshelf Speakers for a small room so we need to get a set of Bookshelves. am going to get her a HSU STF1or 2 Sub. So what are some decent Bookshelves for about a budget of $150??

I ONLY need a 2.0 speaker System for now..

The Pioneer bookshelves that are available at Best Buy are actually very good. Compare them with the Polk TSi series while you are there. The TSi series is a cosmetic upgrade over the Polk Monitor series, and you can buy Polk Monitors through Newegg.com at good prices.

Combine that Hsu sub with their bookshelves, the HB-1s. She'll be more than happy. You can probably even get a discount if you order them all together. I listen to music on them all the time and often check to see if the sub is on because they extend pretty low on their own. The satin black is very nice (have it on my vtf3mk3) but if you really want to treat her get the rosenut finish. After getting my HB-1s in rosenut it made me wish I'd splurged on the sub. They're great speakers and often go on sale for $129 in black.

If you can stretch the budget just a little you could get a brand new set of Energy RC-10's from Vanns for $219.
