From what I hear now everyone says that even though my picture is good .... technology changes so much that new LED picture is WAYYYY better.
So .... I can spend up to $3,000.
What's a good TV these days size ... 60'+?
thanks.
I have a 46 Sony LCD about 6 yrs old and pic is great. I also believed the LED to be better but after purchasing and returning the following I ended up going Plasma and couldnt be happier....
Sharp 60 Quattron......made it 3 days and returned, off angle viewing was an terrible issue
Samsung 60................Colors all looked fake, aWrigley field is not neon green, could not get rid of the saturation
LG65 Cinema.........Best picture of them all, best off angle viewing, but refresh rate was too slow and their tru motion gave terrible Soap Opera effect. Wife also got major headaches no matter how i played with the settings
I had all three hanging in my house over a 4 week period, ended up with a Panasonic 65gt50......its great, handles my bright room as good as any of them and the screen handles overhead lighting well....they all had difficulty with rear or side reflections, the LG being the worse with the panasonic being equal to the sharp and samsung...
One negative about the Panasonic is that it doesnt handle bad quality signals well, bad looks bad, HD looks great and BluRay is phenominal....ofcourse it is 65 inch too. I upconvert all signals to 1080P in my Anthem AVR and the crappy signals look better, but not as good as native HD signals...
