At first I thought it was the little girl, but they said their daughter died at 18 years old... the clepto girl seems to be 18 but alive and well, or is she?

I think she's a spirit.

No way that girl is 18. She looks 15, at best.

I'm not so sure if she is. She has interacted with other characters besides Jane.

Loving how the locked suitcase is going to be unlocked for Halloween. Excellent build up.

My wife has completely fallen in love with this show and she is really into it. I like it too, but usually surf the internet or something during it. Pretty good though. I hope it stick around as the wife would be happy!!

Where, oh where, have I seen a smoke monster before? Wish I could remember.

That said, I enjoy this silly show.

Awww poor writer girl.. well Gavin kept his promise, she never saw it coming.. at thought at first that the mob guy was going to take her eyes out as he also promised so she would never see him again.. I guess not..

Man I surely missed the hot neighbor, not even the other couple appeared..

They'll be back next week, judging from the preview.

I think Jane needs to smarten up a little and have some slippers and a flashlight by the bed for her nightly trips down to the laundry room.

Not to mention, bringing a door stop so doors can't close behind her and lock her in places...or potentially her and her boyfriend both when he follows her into a room after rescuing her from just being trapped in it...

Ya think?????

The series has been mildly fun so far, though its soapy tendencies are starting to shine through the plots.

Kinda creepy episode...

Loved the naughty nurse costume, and her planting the seed of doubt so the guy sleeps with her someday, at least he seemed to move out of the apartment..

OK, I get the ghost guy dissapeared after failing to kill the girl, I found odd that the guy he did also vanished into the building..

Weren't the birds on the inside wall? he clearly punched out the outer wall where the window is...

The wall healed itself, so the birds were probably not real. The rules for how the Drake works aren't clear yet; apparently the axe murderer was just a ghost, yet everyone could see him, and he could touch real objects.

Not sure I understand, Gaven has the power to make a serial killer real, and to do so much more in the hotel, but yet he was powerless to do anything when the guy kidnapped his wife. Not sure I understand his powers/abilities.

Yeah, I was wondering about that too - he shouldn't be afraid of a mere kidnapper. Perhaps it's because he's not really Satan or one of his demonic minions as many of us had speculated. Instead, he's a regular guy, with elastic morals and ethics, who made a deal with the Devil years ago and all of his manipulative powers stem from that deal. He can have all the earthly riches he desires - and eliminate his enemies as he sees fit - if he continues to fulfill the duties of the deal he made.

But he had to ask the journalist to write "one more story for him". This suggests that he is personally limited to "granting wishes" but not not being able to make just anything happen at will.

I do agree, we don't really know the extent and limitations of his abilities.

I agree, this show is seriously suffering from a lack of rules. Everything is essentially a deus ex machina event from our perspective since they haven't laid down any rules.

I have to wonder if the hurricane damage will end up dooming this series before the season even comes to an end, considering the ratings aren't stellar, anyway.

What's up with the new adversary? is he also some kind of demon?

What's in the box? and Vanessa knows what's inside, but somehow they are telling us she doesn't know what Gavin is?

They said what was in the box. They had a resident of the hotel that was more then a normal human and he was terroiziing his wife so he got rid of him by imprisoning him in the box.

But didn't the guy that stole the box open it? So why isn't whatever is in the box running around loose right now? This show is very confusing at times.

The contents of the box appeared to leave the thief in a comatose state, so I think there's more to it than it just containing a "person" who was harassing Vanessa. Judging by what Gavin said, though, it would appear that it isn't as simple as opening the box to release the contents. There's some sort of ritual required (likely involving the markings in the basement), and anyone who opens the box without performing the ritual is attacked by the box's contents, even though what's inside isn't able to escape.

Could be imprisoned in the box, it could be a container, just opening the lid doesn't mean it is free. Maybe it can never be free again and it has to live in there regardless of what a person does to the box. So many things could explain why it didn't start running loose once opened.

This one has been cancelled. The 13 filmed will all be broadcast.

Sigh. I would rather have seen this show continue than Last Resort, but since they both got cancelled, I guess it doesn't matter.

I wanted them both to succeed, even though I felt this show wasn't really all that....scary. But any fully serialized drama swinging for the fences on Big-Four broadcast TV is a welcome sight, IMO. Heck, it's just great to see Terry O'Quinn in the kind of off-kilter, twisted, vaguely supernatural role he does so well. Last thing I want is to see his unique talents wasted on another formulaic cop/doc procedural. Which, after this, is probably going to be his next gig.

Plus, let's face it gentlemen - there was some serious eye-candy on this show. Vanessa Williams is such a classic beauty, and she only ranked third or forth amongst the comely beauties residing at the Drake.
