That is interesting. I wonder if they make one for ATI 3000 Amps?
No. The output is balanced and, if the situation demanded it (very long runs in electrically noisy environs), it would be effective in minimizing the induced noise. Of course, as mastermaybe adds, it is unlikely to be necessary in most domestic systems.
I'm from Australia ;)
I use a pair of JBL XPL-200 for my fronts and a Velodyne CHT-12R for my sub. I hav an external crossover (JBL DX-1) for my front speakers that I'm not using yet because I do not have the room to run the extra amps for the crossover.
I think I've narrowed down my loss of video to my Sony TV, which seems to have issue with unsupported video errors. I've swapped out my HDMI cables and that didn't change anything so it sounds like I might have to get a new TV down the track. My brother has a newer Samsung 3D TV, which I may try as a trial of elemination.
With regards to my Oppo and Cambridge, I have HDMI1 on both players for blurya movie duties and HDMI2+XLR on the Oppo and HDMI2+Analague Stereo Outs on the Cambridge set as secondary sources for analogue listening. I'll be doing some comparisons over the next week or two and report my findings then.
