I'd like to mount a 42" LCD television in our bedroom, and provide a shelf for a TiVoHD DVR. I've had success with Monoprice.com in the past, based on advice I received through these forums.
Perhaps my biggest concern is my odd-ball stud placement. I've attached a picture I took while my home was being built. On one side of the corner I have 11.5 inches to the nearest stud. On the other side, I have 22 inches (is that up to building code?)
I don't have the weight of my TV handy, but I'm approaching this with the idea that there is no harm in using a mount that exeeds the amount of weight it is expected to hold.
Thoughts? Ideas? Any input would be appreciated!
