You might be right actually, I don't know how quick they would go. I think I'll be sitting at home trying to get a good deal online, even if it's a little more than an in-store Black Friday deal. I'm not a big fan of most people in general, so a Wal-Mart Black Friday crowd probably wouldn't be much fun either.

The trick is to get somebody to go get it for you. Hell, give them $100, you'd still get a great deal. Of course I wouldn't do it for $100. Ya got any siblings you can say please please please to? Ha.

I remember waiting in line almost 20 years ago at Circuit City when they first started these "Black Friday" things. I think I got up around 4 am and got to the store around 4:30am and was like 3rd or 4th in line. ( Try getting there that late nowadays, LOL) I was getting a computer for my sister. As soon as they open the doors people tried to cut the line but those of us in the front pushed them back. No organization, no security. It was a mad house. I was lucky and got the 4th of the 5 computers they had at that price, but I swore I would never do it again. I like a deal as much as the next person, but it was just not worth it. Especially, now days when you can find great deals online without ever leaving your house.

Costco now has the E701i-a3 on their website and it says delivery is between 7-10 business days. I just ordered one last night!

It says $1949.99 on Costco's site.

I looked today to see if it happened to show up in store yet, but no luck. I live near Costco HQ, so our local stores tend to get better inventory than other parts of the country. Now I'm not convinced this TV will be available on Friday, but hopefully I'll be wrong.

Yup I see $1949 as well. $1700 I'm a buyer.
No reason to wait until it comes to the store as shipping is free and the 60" version, which is in the stores, is almost identical with the exception of size. Costco will also price adjust if it goes down (i.e., Black Friday). Obviously, the 5 year warranty for $99 is another reason to get it from Costco. Hoping mine will show up before Thanksgiving!
Any guess what price path this thing will follow? Will it get materially under $2000 ($1700?) by Christmas?
Who knows what the price will do. I bought it online immediately when it became available for $1979 and by the next morning it was already at $1949. I called Costco and they said to call back after it has been shipped to do a price adjustment. Remember that Costco's return policy is 90 days and although they don't say it, they will probably price match within that same time frame or you can just return the TV and rebuy it, which they know, costs them more to do it that way.

They made me do this a few years back on a Panasonic plasma. Brought the TV in store for like $1800, next day its on sale for $1500 on Costco website. Talk to a manger and they couldn't give me the price adjustment. Has to return the perfectly good TV to the store for refund and then rebuy online with free delivery. Made no sense, as now they have an open box TV they will have to sell at a discount, when they could have just gave the $300 difference. Don't you love corporate red tape.

I'm considering the new 65" (M650VSE) Vizio that's also coming out at the same time as this 70". Sam's Club has the 65" for $999 (plus free ship) online starting tomorrow night for their Black Friday sales. Even if I can't get it through Sam's Club, Costco's got it for $1299 through the end of 2012. Any thoughts about the difference in these two and justifying spending the extra $600-1000 for the 70"? Neither are 3D (okay by me), and both seem to have comparable specs.

It looks like Costco just added $100 shipping to this tv today. Hopefully the black friday "deal" will be more than them just reducing it back to the original price.

Btw, I'm also noticing price hikes today on different tvs on Amazon.

The Vizio 70 inch E701i-A3 Razor LED Smart HDTV appears to presently available on-line from: a) Vizio dot com, b) Amazaon "dot" com and c) Sam's Club dot com. Very recently I exercised the web-pages up to the point of checking out, but not confirming the order. Wla-Mart dot com still says "Not available now".

Last night, Tuesday November 20, 2012 I personally visited brick and mortar Costco and Sam club's near metro-Seattle, WA. It was not yet on display in the brick and mortar stores.

Has anyone seen one of these in-person yet ? Am really curious to see if it is as good as it's little brother the 60 inch Vizio E601i-A3 (that is pretty good).

During my visits to brick and mortar stores I have tried to keep an open-mind (but closed wallet) when observing the competing sharp 70 inch. The Sharp 70 inch seems to require a strong signal and even then shows macro-blocking and halo's. Phooey on Sharp. Have been underwhelmed by Sharp 70 inch since it's inception. Sure hope Vizio performs well.

The 70" will be available from Vizio on-line Thursday for $1700.
Available at 9PM PST from Vizio.
Is the E701i-A3 a native 60 Hz panel? The specs say 120 Hz, but on most TVs this means the actual panel refresh rate is half that, and they use backlight stobing trickery.

Source for Vizio $1700 pricing? Ie where did you hear it would be $1700 from Vizio?
I opted for the 65" model (M650VSE) and got it for $998 through Sam's Club just now. Decided I couldn't justify another $700 for just 5" more.

Costco dot com has a nice holiday surprise for fans of the Vizion 70 inch HDTV. http://www.avsforum.com/t/1440733/70-inch-vizio http://www.avsforum.com/t/1440733/70-inch-vizio At 12:30 a.m. pacific time on Friday November 23, 2012 aka "Black Friday" the availability and quote on Costco dot com looked sweet. Does anyone know the expiration date of the sweet deal at Costco dot com. Must see the online quote to believe it !. wink.giftongue.gif:) Significantly better than Wal-*art dot com or Vizio dot com at this time. Amazon is lagging and Sam's club dot com doesn't list availability online at this time.

Also noticed a rumor in a duplicate thread hereiin on AVS Forum the Original Equipment Manufactuer O.E.M. claims a better and notciable improvement in the 70 inch Vizio as compared to the little brother 60 inch that hit the street about four weeks ago. Sweeter still !

Still looking forward to seeing it in=person.

Any speculation on what 2013 will bring in terms of price, availability or variants ?

Another great find Suzook!..you're the man. It's still not as amazing as last years Fry's Sharp 70 LED for 1499 but I'm pretty sure only a few handful who had to jump through so many loops to get one. This one is no hassle stress free with white glove delivery right to your door with free shipping so $1699 for this 70" LED is the new benchmark. I still can't believe AVS sers who paid 11K for Sony Lcos Qualia 70" was it back in 04 that was 20" deep and could not be mounted on a wall.

Well, as 1080p is reaching it's peak and 4K, Ultra HD right around the corner I can see next year BF will be epic proportions and 70" LED will be like the 60" this year which will be $998. Sub 1K for 70" LED...it's only a matter of time

$1499 at costco for today black friday. Has anybody bought one yet and care to comment?
I ordered from Amazon for $1700 + tax. Free shipping. Woke up and they were matching the Vizio.com price.

Costco charges $99 for shipping, plus I would have to buy a membership for $50 or $100 whatever.
More importantly as of this writing the Costco site would not let me add it to my cart.

So Amazon it was.

Re: Vizio 70 E701i-A3 70" Class Razor LED

Costco no longer shows it on their site.

Just picked up mine for $1500. I got there right at opening and store had 8 in inventory. I noticed several people doing double takes on the price.

Unfortunately I had to drive it home in the pouring rain, so I want to let it dehumidify for for a while before I power it up.

Just picked one up from Costco in my area! I was actually able to get the 65" from sams online for 998.00 but its going back if a family member doesn't buy it from me
post #60 of 125

Under 1450 for a 70 inch with great PQ. Merry Christmas to me !!!!!!!!!!!!
