Lawless

I'd highly recommend reading the book, The Wettest County in the World, for those of you who still do that sort of thing. I haven't seen Lawless, but the trailers look like they made some pretty typical Hollywood changes to 'action it up'. Nothing wrong with that, but it is a very good book. The feel of it is reminiscent of Boardwalk Empire, not so much in terms of content or characters, but in tone.

Loooking forward to this release, not sure if it's worth a purchase or just a rental though. Any reviews up yet?

Went to my bestbuy today and they already had it out. Not suppose to be out until next week. Didn't realize this till I got home. I didn't see this at blockbuster when I was there tuesday to rent expendables 2. I just figured it came out today because of the holiday weekend. Looks like someone made a big boo boo..

According to various sources the US release is heavily cut in graphic violence and also cropped in picture. Anyone got the chance to verify this?
I was wondering that the reviews mentioned this movie to be very brutal but the US BD didnt shock me at all.
