Hello, I'm gonna build a hushbox for this projector.

Does it look okay?

Sorry foor the poor picture lol, but hope it shows the basic idea here.

The fans are gentle typhoon 1400rpm 120mm, but have ability to run them slower on adaptor. 5 of them.

Why so many fans? You should be able to accomplish the same thing with two at most. You're just making sure to vent the hot exhaust to keep if from building up. This would keep from stirring up dust inside there as well if there is any.

Oh Really??

I thought you neeed many fans on this projector since on non-ecomode, aka normal mode (and all 3d mode), the fans really blow a lot of air..

Are you sure of this then, or just a hunch?
Thankyou for your answer, very appreciated!

Btw, what do you mean by venting hot exhaust? I was thinking making room to left of it in box so hot air can flow there, and then make the sucktion with the fans in the back top left side of box to bring it out.

edit: Have bought all wood matrial now. Gonna pick up fans, adapter, new tool to saw with and the isolation.

insall a dividing wall between the intake and the output or the air will just go straight from one hole to the other and bypass the projector

this is the exhaust part that goes over the exhaust ports of my projector, a separate fan feeds the intake ports of the pj vent box.jpg 507k .jpg file

Alright.. A wall you say is needed. Perhaps a wall to left (on warm air side) of projector will do ?
Or maybe better to have the wall on the right side so the air coming in has to go into the intake?

I'm not sure.. More help would be appreciated. Also thinking about how many fans. I just tested the adapter and got real nice airflow on 12v, but can do all the way down to 3v. All I care about is to design the box for lowest noise and sufficient airflow.
