Xfinity remote on a Panasonic Bluray Player

greetings y'all,
I just wanted to see if yall can help me sync my xfinity remote to my Panasonic DMP-BD85K.

I have already got the code and perfom the basic function (power, play, pause etc) but I CANNOT seem to access the main menu of the player (viera, setup, etc) because no button the remote seems to work. The "MENU" button on the remote only pulls up the Bluraydisc menu, not the player menu. So, I was wondering if there was a way around to work it. More specifically, I need a substitute on the xfinity remote for buttons such as "Function menu" and if possible, "Viera Link" etc.

this is just amazing. thank you so much. I've gotten the remote to be in a much better shape than it was before. I might get the JP1 cables later but for now, im glad (very)

Hold the phone! I found a solution that will give you every code. I updated my original post with the new setup code and advanced codes. I added a few extra as well, like Netflix. But I'm not sure it will work on the 85. It's worth a try.

One caveat is this code will require you to assign advanced codes to most of the buttons that worked by default using code 20490, like the playback controls, numbers and power.

What you may want to do is the temporary assignment trick. That's where you temporarily assign DVD to 21362, assign the few advanced codes you need, then change back to DVD 20490. Your advanced codes should stick while unassigned buttons will use the functions from 20490. That's probably the best approach.

Let me know how they work. They should, but I could have made a mistake.
