so my speaker stands just arrived and I decided to proudly post a photo of my humble system. The photo is not of great quality. I will take another one with a better cam. This is an iPhone photo.
To give a bit of info regarding what you see.., my setup is a Denon DBT-1713UD universal player, Denon AVR-2113 receiver, NAD C320 integrated amp, SONY KDL-55HX850 TV, behind the TV is a PS3 and Wii and a PC is to the right of the picture. PC and Denons are connected to the Apple AirPort Extreme 5th gen and TV, PS3 and Wii via WiFi. And of course the speakers are KEF LS50. The center is a Yamaha NS 444. Surrounds (not shown) are Yamaha NS 333. The turntable in the bottom right corner is an iON Quickplay LP (which I got myself to try if I want to listen to LPs again..)
Very oddly I am sure I have the speakers connected via 2 pairs of wires. One is with bananas and the other with bare wire. One pair goes to the Denon and one pair to the NAD, so that I can turn one or the other off whenever I decide to switch from movie to music or vice versa. This is because the Denon is really ****** for music. The universal player is then connected via HDMI to the Denon and via CINCH to the NAD.
I am thinking of doing a music comparison video Denon vs NAD. And in fact this is what I will do today evening.
The speaker stands have been custom made by a local company, Stand Audio. http://www.standaudio.sk/
They are 30cm tall.
