I've become the proud owner of the LS50's and are now wondering what sort of speaker stand solutions you've come up with:confused:
KEF themselves recommend very heavy and solid stands like the Custom Design fs104 Signature - but I guess I'm not the only one who bought the 50's not just for the superb sounding but also because of their dazzling looks.
In lack of better words I find the Signatures a tad "Un-aesthetic" for ls50 - or in short "Ugly as h**l".
Now I've stumbled upon the new Bamboos from Atacama (Moseco 6) which - filled up with sand - will pack some kilos I guess. With their bottom wood plate I believe they will be just perfect for the KEFs - visually that is.
In the shop the speaker was tested on Dynaudio Stand 3x but although a very smooth combination for the eye, it's hardly a "heavy and solid" solution.
Any ideas for a stand solution that meets both technical, aesthetic and auditive requirements?

I bought these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0006G1IJ0/ref=oh_details_o09_s02_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Filled with sand and using museum putty to secure the speakers to the rather odd tops which are designed to be bolted to speakers. Could be tighter in the pillar to base connection, but I think they work just fine. I set them at their minimum height, which is 24". That is the tallest that Kef recommends, so if you want shorter stands, these wouldn't work.
