I'm looking for a solution to watch Region A & Region B Blu-rays so I either need >>>
a) one multi zone Blu-ray player
b) one region A Blu-ray player and one region B Blu-ray player
I'm from Germany by the way.
So of course it would be more convenient to purchase one multi zone Blu-ray player. On the other hand I heard that the Panasonic BDT-500 has better pq than the Oppo BDP-103. PQ is very important to me. I actually don't want an image processor like the Qdeo chip which alters the image. I read quite a bit about the softness of HDMI1 due to default noise reduction (Oppo BDP-103). What I want is an image which represents what the master looks like. I'm not looking for additional contrast boost, noise reduction etc. .
Oppo recommends using HDMI2 in that case...hmmmm.
I wonder how HDMI2 (Oppo) compares with the Panasonic BDT-500.
What would you recommend?
