Best projector under 1000 for...

I have a basement room about 13 x 25 with one window basically 25 ft from screen. My viewing habits are about 60% gaming, 20% sports, 10% watching movie and 10% random cable viewing. I am thinking about buying the Optoma gt750e. I like the fact its more of a gaming projector and has 3d. I don't like the 720p. Am I going to be disappointed with this projector? Is this the right choice for my situation? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I have the exact same size basement also with one window. The best thing I ever did was to convert the room and use the long wall for the screen. You'll end up with a much better viewing distance to screen ratio. In mine, I am about 10ft away using a 96" screen. My large front speakers have plenty of room sitting out and away from walls and electronics are on sidewall. The projector is the Optoma hd20 and is 12ft from the screen.
In your setup, you are sitting way too far away.

I plan on having a small bar on one end of room. Or maybe putting an air hockey table next to bar idk yet. I thought about getting hd20 do you like it? Any regrets about buying it or problems? Thanks for input. :-)

Love the HD20. Have owned it about 2.5 years. Replaced a bulb at 2200 hours but second cheap Chinese eBay bulb now going strong at around 3000 hrs. Had to blow dust off color wheel about a year ago but no real problems at all. Great projector for me and plan to keep it. Not biting on the 3d thing myself.
