Any Way to Mute or Turn Off speakers connected to Sony Receiver without Muting Preouts?

Odd request but I am trying to find a way to mute the speakers hooked up to a Sony ES5800 receiver, but NOT mute the preouts. I can not seem to find a device to connect inline between the speakers and the receiver. I also have to be able to mute or Turn off the speakers via 12v, ir, or rs232. Thanks

Generally main zone audio is passed simultaneously to the speaker posts and pre-outs so muting the audio mutes both sets of outputs.

I think I found a way to turn off the speaker posts without turning off the preouts using 3x Altronix RB-5 relays and tying them to the 12v trigger

Make sure whatever is going to driving the 12V trigger can supply 360 mA (3 x 120 mA) of current.
