You know, years ago I found myself asking "Why does Batman always have to have a new suit?" and I find myself asking the same thing about Iron Man. Granted, small refinements and/or advancements for improved mobility or something I get. But when I saw this Mark ?? version, I admit I thought to myself, a guy like Stark wouldn't have created something MORE complex in terms of pieces. Kind of a "more moving parts creates increased opportunity for more things to go wrong" type logic.

Too much gold now. I liked the way it looked in Iron Man 1.

But I'm sure the movie will be alright anyway.

I love the one on the left; burgundy and gold, baby. biggrin.gif It’s also the color of my Explorer. wink.gif The excessive blue one reminds me of the f*cking N.Y. Giants. mad.gif

It's growing on me a bit. I didn't like it at all to begin with, but it's not so bad, now. Who knows, maybe the new suit will only have a short life, and then it'll be back to the Mark-NotUgly suit.

According to rumor, IM3 will be based primarily on the Extremis comic storyline - a nano-tech suit that fuses to Stark's body and also has said tech fall into terrorist hands. For all we know, this new Mark Ugly suit may not last long. Of course, the previous 2 IM films have borrowed bits of Extremis in both previous suit design as well as some plot points (mostly Stark's system being poisoned by the original arc reactor in his chest in IM2 & and the setting of Afghanistan at the beginning of the 1st film)). The upcoming Iron Man 3 appears to be an adaptation of the Extremis storyline due to the inclusion of Aldrich Killian and Maya Hansen, who will be played by Guy Pearce] and Rebecca Hall respectively.
