Which Subwoofer is best for a mid-sized room?

Thread Starter
I know there are better subs out there and most people on these forums are inclined to say just save up longer and get an internet direct sub but I would prefer you stick to the $250 budget on this thread. Thanks.

The subs I was thinking about are the:

Polk PSW505
BIC F12
Def Tech SuperCube III (I can get it for $250)

Any other sugestions in this price range?

Thanks

BIC H-100

I'm one of those Internet Direct kind of subwoofer guys but the above, a step up from your F12 choice, should make you happy.

Or perhaps even better, it's newer brother, the BIC PL-200. Typically available direct from Acoustic Sound Design for $280 (you make them an offer).

Im a fan of the polk psw505.

Out of respect for you above, by being true to your above, you're asking for inferior sound quality and that point needs to be brought to the forefront when giving suggestions. There's good reason to consider more expensive options.

I have to second the motion for the BIC PL-200, as mentioned by cel4145. cel4145 knows what he is talking about smile.gif
