I would appreciate any Recommendation on a Hd tv that can display sports.I have Purchased Two tv so far with no success. First purchase was a 60" pana st50 Plasma the picture was great and all sports looked smouth with no motion blur or double image/ghosting but after two months it had major image retantion burn in due to me watching sports with statinary logo. I was lucky to have the store take back the tv and give me store credit. So my second purchase is 60" sharp led LC-60LE847U with 240 hz well after having this tv for a week and messing around with the setting I am getting double image/ghosting on any fast moving football, golf ball, and hockey pucs. I will be returning this tv back soon. I watch allot of sports and really want to stay away from any plasma due to IR is there a lcd led tv That matches the motion smotheness of a plasma?? Please let me know.

Thanks

Mike

Get a Sony HX750. Sports is unbelieveable on it. Trust me I know because I have one.

Do you notice a difference with sports broadcast at 1080i(CBS and NBC) and sports broadcast at 720p(ABC, FOX and EXPN)?

Mikeshk,
What motion compensation settings are you using? With a 240Hz TV you should be able to eliminate all motion blur except that cause by the TV cameraa panning a scene.

I notice no difference with sports broadcasts. Except with my HX750 they seem a hell of alot better then they looked on my old Sony KDL46V5100.
