Does VLC still bitstream regular DTS/DD?

I can't for the life of me get it to bitstream 5.1 sound anymore. Its no big deal as I play 99.9% of everything through XBMC which bitstreams just fine. Still, I'd like to know why and what's up?

Anyone know? Been all over the VLC settings and preferences and I can't get the darn thing to bitstream regular DD/DTS anymore.

Audio Menu -> Audio Device -> A/52 over S/PDIF

Thanks man, got it. My "preferences" menu was set to "simple" so I didn't see any of the advanced options. LOL...duh.
