Creative way to tilt my projector besides CD's and/or books?

I just got my Optoma HD23 and LOVE it.

I have it mounted on a shelf slightly above the image and it's almost perfect. However, I need to tilt it slightly more than the backs legs allow. Does anyone know of a good mechanism to use this that doesn't shift? I've tried playing cards, cardboard, books, CD cases, etc., but there must be a more elegant solution.

I don't know how elegant it is but I've seen folks post that have used rubber door stops--the wedge shaped ones to accomplish this on the cheap.

depends on the design , but maybe something like these could be added to extend the feet..and removed later

For real cheap you could also go to local hardware store and buy the round, sticky backed felt pads. You can easily stack them for added height. They cost under $5 for a bunch of them.

I use this:

It is very flexible, because it can be folded and cut. It is unbelievable cheap.

If you want continous adjustment, here is what I did: pound some t-nuts into a piece of wood roughly the same length and width of the PJ. Then get some threaded feet and screw them into the t-nuts. The threaded feet can be found ay any hardware store and basically are just a plastic or metal "foot" attached to a thread. The PJ feet will rest on these, and you can screw / unscrew them to the desired height. Great if your shelf isn't level because you can easily adjust lateral height of the PJ too. I stained the wood so it would look nice.
