projector recommendations

Time for a new projector. Old projector was an old business model and not HD but it did a good job. 2,000 lumins and it seemed bright enough for the room.

Theater room about 18ft x 28ft. cieling mount projector (built into a soffit) and is 20 feet from the screen. Screen is a 10ft wide dalite. Room does have a window but can be light controlled.

I'm leaning towards Panasonic ar100u but am concerned about too much brightness. Is that a concern? Also, expensive bulb replacement seems like a negative.

Also considering Epson 8350 but projector central calculator says it's not bright enough and doesn't seem to project to a 10 foot screen at 20ft throw. . Epson calculator indicates its ok. Kind of confusing.

Reviews seem to indicate the Epson is better in light controlled rooms but also kind of a close call.

Are there similar projector options in the below $1,500 range?

Any thoughts? Thanks

Epson 3010. It doesn't have lens shift, so when ceiling mounted(upside down) the lens would need to be the same height as the top of screen.
