Thanks, I have been through all the materials I could get my hands on. The item you quoted from the manual has to do with analog computer signals, not HDMI. So those options are not even available in the menu with an HDMI connection. But thanks for trying!
I updated my original posts. It does seem like my issues stem from HDMI handshaking and nothing to do with the projector, directly. Especially considering there are SOOOOO many people that have issues with HDMI using various equipment, where it will work fine with one, but not another.
I have had a stable connection since updating Win 7 with Service Pack 1 on my HTPC. Since then I rarely get the drops anymore. I read that SP1 fixed some audio related issues with HDMI and Windows, and thought I read something about HDMI wake-up. Well, maybe there are some other things they fixed, because it has allowed me to enjoy this projector for hours now (instead of just minutes at a time)
I know this is the HW50 thread, but one more note on SP1, since the upgrade, my TV has no problem re-synching with Windows after being shut-off. I used to have to unplug and re-plug the TV if I turned it off or the computer went into sleep mode.
Anyways, back to watching more movies on my HW50!
