I suppose your wife does that too?
It can be done quickly by yourself, but unless you've got eagle vision there's no way to know for sure that you have it focused as good as possible. I still think 2 people, or at a minimum setting focus and walking up to the screen wall and making minor adjustments where needed is best. 2 sets of sharpie lines on the zoom/focus could fix that and ensure optimal focus. Of course I wouldn't do that but I also wouldn't change my screensize (though I definitely understand why you do it) .
I would tell the wife to get used to the native size of the screen.
