Mitsubishi 73C12

I just took delivery of a new 73c12. When I hooked it up the picture had a big black jagged line about 2 inches thick running top to bottom on a diagonal line. Obviously somethings broken im not sure what thou. I ordered from Dell. My question is will they take it back or do I have to have service look at it.

I'd just get it serviced if you really want the TV. Otherwise, I think they HAVE to take it back if it's still in the return window. (Unless Dell pulled a gotcha by having some sort of disclaimer saying big screen TVs can't be shipped out once shipped, like I think TigerDirect and some places have.)

I don't think there's much doubt your main mirror is broken. It happens in shipment sometimes, and main mirror breaks are one of the reasons that there are refurbs. Let's hope pieces of glass haven't fallen on the main lens too. Be careful moving it around. Send the picture to service and maybe they will have the sense to order a mirror.

Update, I called Dell customer service they were very helpful. they are gonna send me another one and pickup this one. I paid 1060.00 but I noticed on their website that it's onsale for 999.00. I asked him could I get it for that, he said no problem.I also took one of the back round covers off and indeed it's a broken mirror. Hopefully the new one comes in perfect shape,
