PowerDVD is ultra-slow

Besides the fact it takes 10 minutes to start a bluray, it also loads up in around 4-5 minutes..

What is wrong?

TMT5 loads up in seconds..

E6600 over-clocked to 3GHz..
4GB of ram
Gt430 video card

PowerDVD 11 had the same problem..

I erased every registry entry and cyberlink folder I could find and reinstalled it to no avail after I cleaned the registry with ccleaner.

Getting a little frustrated.

Over-clock might be affecting it for some odd reason, A/V software can hamstring programs if they get flagged or monitored, or it's some sort of problem between the player and your GPU.

It hasn't mattered if I oc'ed or not and this is my second video card.. Nothing has made a difference..

Besides, starting a program shouldn't take multiple minutes, it's not even addressing the video cards HA until it starts playing..

Think I will stick to tmt5. It doesn't give me any problems.

I really like the concept of the remote software on my smartphone but I'd much rather deal with a program that is responsive..
