Need Feedback with new System

Currently on a HK AVR1600 with JBL speakers/sub and need to upgrade. My budget is $3,000 maybe up to $3500 if there is something worth the extra. I am looking for great sound for mostly movie/tv/gaming. Room size is approximately 22'x22' with 25" cealing. I am looking for recommendations for a 5.1 speaker system and receiver. I have been recommened to go with a Pioneer Receive and some B&W 685's but wanted to get some input from all of you. What would be the best for my budget? Thank you in advance!

The fronts are not loud and the sound quality is not to the level i was hoping to have. I was thinking of going to a 7.2 set up as I think i need more subs for a such a large room? With my size of room should I be after floor standing tower speaker like the Polk Audio RTI A9?
