Advice on Home Theatre Speakers

I am running a Samsung 55" plasma with a Pioneer VSX-1015TX receiver with Energy Take 5 side and back surround speakers.
I am looking for some advice on front and centre channel speakers.

I have the ability to add the Klipsch Reference RF-62s and a RC-52 centre

or

Polk TSi500 front speakers.

Any thoughts on either? Am I better off trying to add Energy front and Centre speakers with the existing Energy surrounds?

Also, do I look at a 10" or 12" sub?

The set up is a smaller corner of a basement with cement walls on two sides and carpet ground. It's turning into a nice set up!

Thanks!

You should really try to listen to Polk vs Klipsch. They are very different sounding speakers. Personally, for home theater, I prefer Klipsch over Polk but that is just me. I see no real issue with mixing and matching brands for your surrounds with your mains. You absolutely want to match your front three (left, right, and center) so they are timbre matched.

What is the size of your space that these speakers are going in (height, length, width)? Is this space open to other spaces? The size of the space often dictates subwoofer options.

Also, the Polk TSi series is mostly just a cosmetic upgrade over the Polk Monitor series. So while you might audition the TSi speakers (Best Buy carries them), the best value is to buy the Polk Monitors from Newegg.com should you go with Polk over the Klipsch.

What size sub you need is dependent on the size of your room. What size is your space (cubic feet)?

Thanks for the help.

The room is 13' x 19' and has basement walls on three sides....the 13' side where the TV and stereo is and one 19' span are basement wall. Only one side is open.

I am leaning towards a 10" sub and if I go with the Klipsch set up I mentioned I am not sure if I should go with a Klipsch sub.

The speakers I mentioned are selling used for about $550 so I think its a great deal. They are being described as nearly new.

I think the RF-62 and RC-52 should be good with the Pioneer VSX-1015TX amp, correct?
