AFAIK it's just a marketing name for Samsung technology for the backlighting of your lcd from the edge lit LEDs. I don't think it's adjustable. So just turn on your tv and enjoy. Are you having issues?

^^^"Micro Dimming" doesn't dim any led zones independently--these sets don't have that capability and can only dim all the leds the same amount at the same time. "Micro Dimming" is a software based feature that modifies the incoming signal to make dark sections of the picture darker and or bright ones brighter. It's hype to fool people into thinking they're getting zone-based dimming of the backlight as is the case on sets like the Sony 929/950 or Sharp Pro-Elite.
