Just found this article about the new Nest Thermostat.

IMO this is intended primarily for use with smart meter integration so that they can do deals with utility companies. Plus a network api would be more useful. So nothing to see here.

That's too bad. I really love this product and would have liked to see it integrate into a control system

Last page update Dec 19th 2012 ... It states Zigbee in the specs for every model of Nest.

Nest does have (unpublished) web API's that you can integrate with. There is one cool KickStarter project I'm backing that integrates with it, hopefully it is successful.

I just picked up a Nest and I would love to see some sort of support for Zigbee control using RTI!
