is there big difference between yamaha yas101 and ysp2200?

Yes, there is a huge difference. They use completely different technology. Only the YSPs use sound reflection that is the magic from the company Cambridge Mechatronics. This was used for the YSP1. As far as I know in the US… The only other product that used the technology from them was the Mitsubishi Unisen televisions.

I personally feel that the 2200 is well worth the extra investment. But if this point, with the new YSPS coming I might wait a little bit to see how they are. They look quite terrific

The ysp2200 is dropping in price. As the ysp4300 and ysp3300 come into the market in place in nov/dec time frame there will be more discount on the ysp2200. Look around for deals. I've heard the ysp2200 in-person and listened to entire range of sound and functions - amazing sound value for its price and very versatile with respect to connections, functions, options. Only model I've heard sound better is the Bose cinemate SR-1 sound bar but is not worth the 1400 or so price tag compared to the ysp2200. Maybe 50 bucks or 100 more at most. Get the ysp2200. The yas101 totally sucks, point blank. Just a cheap piece of crap, dont understand why it gets rave reviews at all. At the bottom of the yamaha line. Just being honest...
