I've been out of the TV game for a while and need a recommendation on a new TV. I'm living out of town, away from my pride and joy (Pioneer Kuro PRO-110FD), and I'm looking for a 42" LCD to use in the apartment I'm staying in. Can anyone recommend a good mid-range LCD in that size ($600-$700 price range)? I'm a Kuro owner, so picture quality (and blacks) are obviously important, but I'm willing to compromise a little for this display. I still want it to look good, but it's not of utmost importance (i.e. I don't need a sharp Elite for this TV). I'm just looking for the most bang for my buck. Been looking at the Samsung LCDs, some look good. Not sure about LED models. Is the feeling that LED backlights these days are the way to go, or is CCFL holding its own?
