My TD12M/SEOS-12 build - Page 2

The TD12M driver will be in a separate compartment from the wave guide and compression driver. I will also place the crossover in the upper compartment with the wave guide and compression driver. 1.1 CF volume, after deducting driver and slot port volume.

Received my flat packs, SEOS-12's and DNA-360 drivers end of day Tuesday 11/06/12.
Decided that I am not going to use any fasteners to put my box together, just Titebond glue.

Crossovers are complete and one of the TD12M's that I purchased from dheflin83 showed up today.

My camera skills leave a lot to be desired. I bought my wife a Nikon D5100, so maybe I will learn how to take some pictures some day.

my second TD12M just showed up. Now I just need the SEOS-12's, DNA360's and the boxes.

My boxes, SEOS-12's and DNA360's are scheduled to be delivered tomorrow.

I know that it has been said several times, but I will say it again. Erich packages up the flat pack speaker kits very well. I was so busy yesterday, that the packages sat beside for about six hours, before I even had enough time to open a box and look inside. Great packaging job. Nothing could shift around. The DNA360 and waveguide looks very nice. I was hoping to be able to put these together Saturday, but my son has an all day basketball tournament. Did a dry fit with the TD12M and waveguide, perfect fit. Thanks Erich.

Just received tracking on my three TD12M drivers. John told me 4 to 6 weeks and it looks like he is going to hit that target.

Right now, I just have a tracking number. Nothing in the system yet. I paid full list price, might have something to do with it and some of the group buy guys have received their drivers. I think it depends on which drivers are completed first.

No build thread for me. Don't have the time. Wish I could. I have all three boxes half way glued up. I had to modify the bracing to allow the slot port. I steal a few minutes and glue and clamp a piece, then go back to work. Have to leave for my son's basketball game in about a half hour. Should have boxes glued up by this week end, then have to route the slot port. Then start sanding them and getting them ready for finishing. Don't plan to do much for finishing since they will be behind an AT screen. I took a picture of a dry fit box, with the driver and waveguide in place, but have not had time to show it.

Decided to convert this thread over to a build thread.

A slot port will be cut in at the bottom.

Also, I paid 100% up front. Delivery shown for Monday. I may have two spare TD12M's.

One box complete and ready for sanding and finishing. Loaded drivers so that I could do a test listen.

Can't really tell in the picture, but the slot port is rounded over.

One front baffle left to be glued and all three of my boxes will be glued up. I have updated the first post to include a few pictures.

I listened to one speaker for a little bit and I thought that it was good. Really want to hear a pair. I have all three boxes glued up, but have to route the slot port in two of them and cut in the terminal cup opening. Then it is time to start sanding and finishing.

Boxes are built, just down to sanding and finishing.

All three boxes built. Two sanded down, primed and filled. No much filling since I did not use any fasteners.

Between work, my son's sports and family obligations, I have a hard time finding any time to work on them. I hope to get them completed by Sunday, but not sure that I can do that.
