Was gifted an old Yamaha YSP-800 DSP (with built-in amp) - would a Klipsch RW-12d be overkill?

Guys,

Per title - came across a Yamaha YSP-800 DSP that was sitting around a my buddy's house (new, unopened), and I like the low-clutter concept so I'm going to set it up in a living room.

Newegg has the Klipsch RW-12d on sale for $299 right now, which I think would be a great sub to have on when I evolve my system into a true 5.1 setup with a receiver, etc.

That being said - is this sub overkill for the YSP-800... aka can it even put out a decent amount of power for the Klipsch?

The Klipsch RW12D is a powered subwoofer so it has its own seperate amp that powers the sub. The receiver is not used to power the sub. The only thing it will receive from the receiver is the audio signal.

Also, I have the Klipsch and its been great so far.
